To redesign their logo to evoke creative expression, excitement and forward thinking while reflecting on Canada’s youth as a diverse growing community with a promising future.
THE SOLUTION
I used recognizable icons such as a rocket, maple leaf, and a planet in the letter C via negative space to make the logo appear friendly. I paired it with a bold typeface and a monochromatic blue colour palette to give it a more professional, corporate feel. The propelling rocket and its trail of smoke evoke the idea of progressive thinking. Together these elements will appeal to the administrative audience, such as the government and industry professionals, and hopefully inspire Canada’s youth to pursue careers in science, mathematics or technology.
